Three years ago, I landed at a spirited eco-village in central Asia. Amid breathtaking landscapes and a community full of talented people, I found myself at home. Every day, children travel miles to attend public school, spending little time in the very special village their families have chosen to call home. These children miss out on learning the arts, trades, and ecological wisdom that their parents and neighbors possess.
As a young person, looking to raise children, I would not like to send my children out of this amazing village. The villagers and I have a common vision. We see a need for a school. I’m a spear-header, a go-getter, and a girl with a lot of perseverance. I moved across 11 time zones, learned a new language from scratch, and found my place in the world. You can help me to help my village, and many children connect to their roots, so that we can create a more beautiful, peaceful future together!
